Bought this product because it was on sale and my previous long-beloved Braun model had given up the ghost after many years of service. Needed a replacement fast. I learned my lesson on this one. The carafe drips when trying to pour coffee, as many other reviewers have said. But then one morning, the clock was flashing, wouldn't reset, wouldn't brew, no amount of following the manual's troubleshooter tips helped; it was just comatose! I pulled the plug on this lemon (to mix metaphors)and I'm shopping much more carefully for a replacement.

I received this as a gift and less than 3 months later it stopped brewing or would only brew a small amount. I called the company and had no problems getting it replaced (they were very pleasant to deal with). Now a year later and I'm having the same problems. I only use filtered water and have tried cleaning it. Now I'm waiting on another replacement from the company. When it worked, I loved it. Did notice that in the first model I had the travel mugs had holes in the bottom that water would get trapped in when they were washed. My second model didn't have that problem. For a $90 coffee maker, I expect it to last longer than a year.

we have this coffee maker at work, and i dislike it. the stainless steel carafe is heavy and ackward to handle. it has a wide lip on it which makes it difficult to clean, and hard to fill if you don't have a long fawcet, and can spill as you pour. the base is not heated. my main complaint is that it is slow. a good coffee maker should only take around 4 minutes to brew coffee. i agree with some of the other complaints about the carafe spilling, especially when filling it. it's also hard to gauge how much water you have as the cup amounts are in the back of the machine and not on the carafe, and are hard to read. this is an expensive machine that i don't think is worth it. i certainly would not buy this for my home.
